Sky High is a Swedish musical institution. First formed in 1978, the band has appeared in many different forms through the years - though none of them so vital, imaginative or techically skilled as the current constellation. The spectacular trio, featuring Clas Yngström, Ulf "Rockis" Ivarsson and  James Bradley Jr, first played together in the spring of 2005, when Clas decided that it was time for a change and a new direction. The new album Download is a tasty melting pot with rich flavours of musical influences from the blues, funk, ballads, heavy rock and even some gospel. Clas Yngström states that the sound of Sky High should never be predictable.

"When I first started playing my major influences were bands like Cream, The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Tony Williams Lifetime - with musicians willing and able to take risks, explore new grounds and head for the unknown. And that is still what I am aiming for myself. Together with 'Rockis' and James I am now able to reach out and touch the sky."

Download marks a new start and, with the new line-up, the band that started out in Dalarna thirty years ago is back on track again. "The train keeps rolling", Clas says with a satisfied smile. /Claes Olson
