Hailing from Gainesville, GA, Dave Boyd has roots all over the south. Whether it was pickin' in the Mississippi delta or headlining on Beal street, Dave Boyd has always strived to create a sound reminiscent of those old, southern blues men yet injected with a modern, songwriting feel. This combination makes Dave Boyd (and his sometime backup band The Shade Tree Smugglers) an outstanding live act that mixes blues, funk, soul, rock, and americana in a truly unique way.
